Purpose & Impact:

As a Family Support Services Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance to our Case Management Organization by offering direct support through client transportation, supervised visitations, and foster parent assistance. This is a rewarding direct care position where you can truly make a difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport children to and from program placements, supervised visits, and medical appointments using agency or personal vehicles.
  • Maintain an organized weekly Transportation Request Form and track vehicle mileage and usage.
  • Conduct follow-up contacts with assigned foster homes post-placement to provide ongoing support.
  • Visit assigned foster homes quarterly to establish rapport and offer guidance.
  • Prepare required reports and documentation as directed by your supervisor.
  • Engage in community outreach events, including recruitment, foster parent meetings, and support groups.
  • Participate actively in staff trainings, meetings, and supervision sessions.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manage an agency cell phone and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
  • Work independently in the community, maintaining professionalism in a team environment.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to drive, communicate via phone, sit for extended periods, and write notes as needed.
  • Occasional clerical support, including answering phones and assisting with filing.
  • Ability to adapt to irregular hours and perform light lifting tasks.
  • Valid driver's license and appropriate auto liability insurance are required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; some college experience preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in community service agencies is preferred.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
  • Experience in multicultural environments and a commitment to cultural and socioeconomic sensitivity.
  • Dependable with good judgment, and possess CPR and First Aid certification.
