Accounting Manager

Long-standing non-profit organization located near downtown Los Angels is looking for an Accounting Manager on a contract-to-hire basis. While overseeing a small team, the Accounting Manager will have a hands-on role in managing the day-to-day accounting functions of the organization. Duties for the Accounting Manager include overseeing the payroll process, playing a key role in month / quarter / year-end closing, cash flow reporting and management (A/P, A/R), preparation of consolidated financial statements, grant/fund reporting. The Accounting Manager will also play a key role in various audits and assist with regulatory compliance.

  • Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • 5+ years of non-profit industry experience is required.
  • At least two years of management experience.
  • Payroll knowledge or experience is required.
  • Must have strong GAAP/technical accounting knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and prioritization skills are also required.
  • $100 - 105k upon hire + signing bonus.
