MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL: CO-RESPONDER CRISIS
3 days ago
OPPORTUNITY
Central Minnesota Mental Health Center (CMMHC) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Mental Health Professional: Co-Responder within our Crisis Team. The Mental Health Professional: Co-Responder is a licensed mental health professional who is embedded within the Stearns County Sheriff's Department and works with officers to respond to behavioral health calls.
WHAT IS CO-RESPONDER?
The Co-Responder Program pairs specially trained mental health professionals with law enforcement to respond to individuals in a mental health crisis who seek help through the 911 system. These professionals provide mental health evaluations, crisis intervention, treatment planning, information and referrals. Drawing on a trauma-informed model of care, they help to de-escalate situations, assess safety risks, and determine appropriate next steps - whether that means supporting individuals to remain safely in the community or facilitating alternative care.
WHY CMMHC?
For more than 60 years, CMMHC has provided comprehensive mental and chemical health services to residents of Benton, Sherburne, Stearns and Wright Counties. Our employees are our greatest asset. We are looking for compassionate people who want to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families struggling with mental and chemical health issues. We offer a great place to work, collaborative team environment, and resources to support your personal and professional development.
