HOST/ESS

The Four Seasons Resort Lāna'i is looking for a Host/ess who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our teams have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization is required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Greet all guests warmly and promptly upon arrival with a professional, friendly demeanor and aloha spirit.

• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and seating assignments using our reservation system OpenTable.

• Recognize frequent guests and personalize service based on their preferences

• Disperse the table lights and clear them at the end of service.

• Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entrance area.

• Communicate effectively with servers and management regarding the guest flow and seating capacity.

• Provide accurate wait times and keep guests informed throughout their wait.

• Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus, taking water preference and introducing the server when appropriate.

• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to table requests or dinner concerns.

• Uphold the appearance and ambiance of the front-of-house area, including lighting, music, and cleanliness.

• Assist in answering phone calls, taking to-go orders, and providing basic information about the restaurant to our guests.

• Support team members during peak service periods as needed.

WHAT TO BRING

• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States

• Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card

• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 35 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts

• Weekend and Holiday availability required.

• Ability to accurately read and work with computer systems.

• Strong Customer Service skills
