Job Description Summary
Data42 is Novartis's data and analytics platform, that allows us to integrate different data modalities at scale (discovery, preclinical, clinical, RWD etc.,), to support data-driven decision making across Novartis. Data42 uses Palantir Foundry as one of the key technological components. We are looking for a candidate with deep expertise in Foundry's Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) and exceptional solution architecture capabilities. This role combines hands-on full-stack development with strategic architectural leadership, requiring both technical depth and the ability to design comprehensive enterprise-scale solutions that integrate AI/ML capabilities seamlessly across the entire technology stack.Job Description
Major accountabilities:
Full Stack Development with AIP Integration
- Build end-to-end applications within Palantir Foundry environment, leveraging TypeScript, React, Python, and the complete AIP ecosystem for AI-driven functionality
- Develop sophisticated data pipelines using Pipeline Builder, Spark, and PySpark to process large-scale datasets while integrating LLM capabilities through AIP Logic and AIP Assist
- Create interactive user interfaces using React, CSS Modules, GraphQL, and Palantir's Blueprint component library to deliver intuitive experiences for both technical and non-technical users
- Implement AI/ML workflows from conception to production, building custom applications that leverage large language models, natural language processing, and automated decision-making capabilities
Solution Architecture
- Create solution blueprints that encompass software architecture, infrastructure design, integration patterns, and deployment strategies for complex enterprise environments
- Design comprehensive system architectures that span the entire technology stack, ensuring seamless integration between frontend applications, backend services, data pipelines, and AI capabilities
- Define technology strategies that align technical implementations with business objectives, ensuring solutions meet both immediate needs and long-term organizational goals
AI Platform Leadership
- Lead implementation of generative AI solutions using Palantir AIP, including prompt engineering, LLM workflow design, and autonomous decision-making systems
- Design AI-driven automation that reduces manual processes and enables organizations to operate more efficiently while maintaining data security and governance
- Build intelligent applications that combine traditional data processing with modern AI capabilities, creating solutions that can reason, learn, and adapt to changing business conditions
- Implement AI governance frameworks ensuring responsible AI deployment with appropriate guardrails, monitoring, and compliance measures
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, business analysts, product managers, and enterprise stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical solutions
- Mentor development teams on Foundry best practices, AIP capabilities, and holistic architecture principles
- Drive technical decision-making for technology stack selection, architecture patterns, and implementation approaches that optimize both current needs and future extensibility
- Lead solution prototyping and proof-of-concept development to validate architectural approaches and demonstrate value to stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field; Master's degree preferred
- 10+ years of Solution Architecture/full-stack development experience with strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, Python, and modern web technologies
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry platform, including Pipeline Builder, Ontology management, Workshop applications, and AIP integration
- Palantir certifications: Foundry Data Engineer, Foundry Solution Architect, or Foundry Application Developer
- Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies including large language models, prompt engineering, vector databases, and generative AI workflows
- Expertise in AWS cloud platform with experience in interoperability between AWS & Foundry
- Proven experience in solution architecture with ability to design enterprise-scale systems that integrate multiple technologies, platforms, and data sources
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences including executives, business users, and technical teams
- Experience working in agile environments with strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with distributed teams
