Entry-Level Patient Care Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:
As an Entry-Level Patient Care Coordinator, you will be the friendly face of our clinic, managing check-in/check-out functions and scheduling patient appointments. You will play a key role in preparing and maintaining our facilities for daily operations while assisting in patient care. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive experience.
- Manage clinic cleanliness and inventory effectively.
- Adhere to safety and sanitation protocols.
- Assist in setting up treatment rooms, ensuring supervision and safety standards.
- Handle phone inquiries and communicate messages promptly.
- Schedule appointments and send reminders to keep patients on track with their treatment goals.
- Verify insurance details accurately.
- Facilitate the completion of necessary paperwork during patients' first visits.
- Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles at each office visit.
- Process credit card transactions efficiently.
- Ensure precise entry of procedure codes in the EMR.
- Maintain patient confidentiality following PHOENIX guidelines.
- Conduct end-of-day procedures as specified in the company manual.
- Provide additional office support as needed.
- Foster a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and legal regulations.
- Other assigned duties as needed.
Education / Training:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree or relevant business coursework preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in a medical office, customer service, or related field.
- Current CPR Certification.
Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
- Effective and professional communication skills with diverse individuals.
- Strong organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and possess strong data entry skills with EMR systems.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Regular phone use is required.
- Consistent attention to numerical accuracy is essential.
- Frequent use of keyboard and mouse.
- Possibility of stooping, kneeling, crouching, or lifting.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Majority of the day spent sitting at a desk (50%+).
- Additional responsibilities may be added as needed.
