The expected salary range for this role is $144,900 to $161,000, depending on experience, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses and 401(k) contributions.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
This role involves advanced engineering problem solving to support nuclear plant operations, making key technical decisions while possessing superior knowledge in relevant functional disciplines and a deep understanding of applicable industry codes and regulations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Execute advanced nuclear engineering and technical tasks to enhance nuclear plant operations.
- Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses for technical projects.
- Deliver expert technical support to guide the development, management, and implementation of engineering activities focusing on plant safety, reliability, and compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of engineering deliverables while adhering to established design criteria and codes.
- Provide hands-on technical expertise to diagnose and resolve equipment and system issues.
- Oversee the management of engineering tasks and recommend innovations to improve operational performance and compliance with regulations.
- Assist with plant design modifications, testing, and problem-solving efforts.
- Guarantee that all engineering outputs meet applicable safety analyses and regulatory requirements.
- Lead functional supervisory activities, including personnel management, budgeting, and planning for engineering teams.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by management, which may include Emergency Response duties and support for outage activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with a minimum of 10 years of engineering experience.
- Proven technical leadership experience and strong teamwork attributes.
- Ability to meet access requirements for unescorted positions and pass necessary medical examinations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional Engineer Registration.
- Advanced technical degree or relevant coursework.
