Job Description

A San Diego based client is seeking an experienced Family or Internal Medicine Physician to provide excellent primary care services to all ages in their Chula Vista clinic. An ideal candidate is a leader who works well in a collaborative environment, values evidence-based practice, and values patient centered care.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
  • Current California medical license
  • Completed an accredited residency program
  • Current DEA certificate
  • Board certified or board eligible in family practice
  • Current BLS certification
  • Medical Spanish (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Assess and diagnose a variety of diseases and injuries in adults
  • Order diagnostic tests and laboratory studies, interpret results and create treatment plans based on results
  • Perform therapeutic procedures and educate patients on their treatment plans
  • Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services for patients on caseload
  • Document all patient encounters efficiently and according to policy
