Join Our Team as a Surgery Oncology Physician Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Surgery Oncology Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Hepatobiliary/Pancreatic (HPB) surgery to provide exceptional inpatient and outpatient care. This full-time, Monday through Friday role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives while working within a highly respected, multidisciplinary team committed to clinical excellence and compassionate patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide independent outpatient care, including pre- and post-surgical assessments, patient education, and coordination of treatments.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient management.
- Assist in the operating room with tasks such as patient prep, intraoperative assistance, and surgical closure.
- Perform wound care, drain management, and other procedural duties as needed.
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, interpret diagnostics, and develop treatment plans within your scope.
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and medical equipment, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Educate patients on managing chronic conditions and wellness initiatives.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions and hospital rounds.
- MN licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Proven experience in surgical oncology, particularly in Hepatobiliary/Pancreatic (HPB) procedures.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
- Proficiency in ordering and interpreting diagnostics and prescribing treatments.
- Experience with inpatient and outpatient oncology care.
- Prior involvement in OR assistance or procedural skills in wound and drain management.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and hospital protocols.
- Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with applicable state licensure.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of surgical oncology or related specialty experience.
- Current MN license and eligibility to obtain or maintain relevant certifications.
- Ability to work an 8-hour shift from 07:30 to 16:00, Monday through Friday.
