- Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention and control policies and procedures
- Conduct routine infection surveillance and audits throughout the facility
- Monitor, track, and report infection data and trends; develop action plans as needed
- Educate and train staff, residents, and families on infection control protocols and best practices
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, and state regulations
- Oversee proper use of PPE, hand hygiene, and sanitation protocols
- Serve as the facility's infection control liaison during inspections and surveys
- Maintain documentation and reporting required by local, state, and federal guidelines
- Current and valid Registered Nurse ( RN ) or Licened Practical Nurse ( LPN ) license in the state of New Jersey
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is a plus - or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated knowledge of infection prevention practices, ideally in long-term care or a clinical setting
- Excellent communication and teaching skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Familiarity with state and federal healthcare regulations
- A proactive, team-oriented professional with a passion for safety and quality
