Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technologists to join our dynamic team.

JOB SUMMARY:
This role involves performing x-ray tests, including understanding body mechanics and patient movement, leveraging your knowledge of anatomy and physiology. You will operate diagnostic equipment, develop films, prepare examination rooms, and may also perform Medical Assistant duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties are key expectations for this role, though not exhaustive. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Greet patients promptly upon entering the waiting area, exam room, or x-ray room
  • Effectively communicate with patients regarding wait times and guide them through the treatment process
  • Provide solutions for patient concerns and seek assistance during emergency situations
  • Conduct follow-up calls with urgency
  • Assist front desk staff with patient check-in/out as needed
  • Accurately document patient vital signs, weight, and relevant medical histories
  • Assist with patient transfers
  • Support procedures under the supervision of the healthcare provider
  • Follow established documentation procedures related to patient visits
  • Perform radiology procedures timely for physician evaluation and treatment
  • Execute necessary quality control measures to guarantee high-quality exams
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures, adhering to clinical and safety regulations
  • Ensure diagnostic equipment is functional and report any issues to the Manager or provider
  • Maintain diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills through ongoing education
  • Keep necessary licensure and certification current for facility radiology equipment

WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?
Full-time team members work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, which includes 12-hour shifts on weekdays and every-other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members will be scheduled as needed.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?
High school diploma or equivalent
BLS Certification
AR State X-Ray License
ARRT Certification preferred
Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
