Job Summary:
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will conduct quality diagnostic imaging in various settings, including clinics, hospitals, emergency departments, and operating rooms. You will assist with a range of imaging modalities such as fluoroscopy and orthopedic imaging. At Sanford Health, we emphasize precision in imaging to support our providers in delivering accurate diagnoses. There are also opportunities for advancement into specialized modalities such as CT, MRI, and Mammo.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging examinations ensuring high-quality images.
  • Ensure correct patient positioning during procedures as requested by providers.
  • Implement radiation safety guidelines and maintain safety practices during imaging.
  • Effectively navigate and utilize the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Conduct basic diagnostic radiology tasks and adhere to general radiology protocols.
  • Perform mobile imaging, EKGs, cardiac monitor placements, and DEXA procedures.

Qualifications:
Completion of an educational program accredited by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required. A strong understanding of diagnostic radiographic principles, including positioning and quality control, is essential. Registration with the ARRT is mandatory, along with licensure through the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board if practicing in North Dakota. Meet specific additional requirements based on practice location, such as obtaining ARRT certification or a permit to practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within six weeks of employment. A driver's license may be necessary, depending on the department.
