Department Details

Sanford Bismarck Medical Center is a Level 2 trauma center. As a member of the Sanford Radiology team, you will work with state-of-the-art equipment, including:

  • Fluoroscopy: Siemens Luminos Agile Max Fluoro
  • Diagnostic X-Ray Imaging: Carestream Evolution, Revolution Portables, and Pediatric Nano Portable, GE 656 & Definium 8000
  • Operating Room Fluoroscopy: OEC C-Arms & Mini C-Arms, Medtronic O-Arm

This is a Straight Night position.

Job Summary

We are seeking a confident and empathetic Radiology Technologist who excels in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging for our patients. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will have the opportunity to work across various settings, including clinics, hospitals, emergency departments, and operating rooms. Your precision and attention to detail are essential, as accurate imaging is crucial for effective diagnoses. With us, you will have chances to advance into other modalities, including CT, MRI, and Mammography.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging examinations, producing quality diagnostic images.
  • Ensure accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures.
  • Implement radiation safety guidelines and practices during imaging.
  • Understand and navigate the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Conduct basic diagnostic radiology tasks, adhering to general radiology protocols.
  • Perform mobile imaging, EKG, cardiac monitor placement, and DEXA procedures.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
  • Working knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles and practices.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
  • Licensure with the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRT) is required if working in North Dakota.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within six weeks of employment.
  • A driver’s license may be required, depending on the department.
