Physical Therapist Assistant
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing hands-on patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, following state regulations. The ideal candidate is dedicated to improving patient mobility and overall well-being while maintaining a collaborative and professional work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing prescribed treatment plans to support patient recovery.
- Maintain compliance with state regulations and clinical policies.
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment while following safety guidelines.
- Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with therapists, patients, and healthcare staff.
- Attend facility meetings and ongoing professional development courses.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA, Medicare, and other healthcare standards.
- Education: Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program or an equivalent international program.
- Licensure: Active and valid state PTA license or certification.
- Skills:
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic medical terminology knowledge for documentation.
