Job Title: Senior Business Analyst - Enterprise Banking Transformation

Location: Remote / Hybrid / Onsite (Client Dependent)

Employment Type: Contract / Contract-to-Hire

Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. This role focuses on enterprise-level strategic alignment across multiple banking workstreams, ensuring clarity, consistency, and cohesion during large-scale transformation or conversion initiatives.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview

Focused on strategic alignment and cross-functional clarity (rather than deep documentation within individual workstreams). Looking for this experience or skill set:
  • Enterprise-level Business Analyst experience
  • Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills
  • Deep understanding of banking operations and core systems
  • Ability to see the big picture while managing details across multiple domains
  • Comfortable working with executives, PMs, and SMEs
Responsibilities
  • Cross-Workstream Alignment
Identify and help resolve cross-functional dependencies, overlaps, and gaps across workstreams (e.g., Lending, Treasury, Branch Ops, Digital) to ensure teams are aligned, operating under shared assumptions, and building integrated solutions rather than siloed outcomes.
  • Process Clarification & Conflict Resolution
Step in when there is confusion or disagreement about current-state or future-state processes. Facilitate discussions, document current vs. future state, and drive stakeholder consensus-especially post-conversion.
  • Strategic Requirements Oversight
Ensure high-level business requirements are consistently interpreted and implemented across systems and teams. Validate that the program maintains a master requirements register, traces dependencies, and flags inconsistencies.
  • Risk Identification & Mitigation
Identify risks arising from misaligned processes, unclear ownership, or conflicting requirements. Document "if...then" risk scenarios, propose mitigation strategies, and escalate systemic issues as needed.
  • Testing Strategy Support
Support UAT and mock conversions to ensure end-to-end testing scenarios span multiple workstreams. Assist in validating that test cases reflect expected business outcomes.
  • Executive & PMO Support
Provide strategic insights for status reporting, milestone tracking, and executive communications. Help articulate "Path to Green" narratives, summarize cross-workstream impacts, and support leadership decision-making.
