Join the Decision Advantage Solutions (DAS) Business Area as a Senior Business Development Manager focused on growth activities in support of national security initiatives. The Business Development Manager will play a vital role in identifying and developing new opportunities, managing program captures, proposals, and strategic planning. Collaborating with DAS and senior Leidos staff, you will execute growth strategies, conduct program reviews, and maintain relationships with both external and internal customers.
In this senior role, you will manage the entire business development lifecycle across multiple simultaneous pursuits in a dynamic environment. This includes identifying market gaps and emerging requirements, conducting market analysis, and implementing formal capture plans while keeping an eye on competitor activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Proven track record of successfully growing NRO business or similar organizations.
- Expand and qualify the opportunity pipeline across various markets through timely identification and assessment of new business activities.
- Assist in the development of growth strategies to assure alignment with strategic goals.
- Lead the identification, qualification, and pursuit of strategic business opportunities.
- Build cross-organizational relationships to drive new growth through collaboration.
- Gather market intelligence and competitive data related to potential pursuits and execute marketing strategies to enhance the effectiveness of that intelligence.
- Act as a thought leader in bid decisions, gate reviews, and develop cost strategies.
- Engage with customers to understand their current and emerging needs.
- Establish and maintain customer relationships while assessing competitor capabilities across a diverse business portfolio.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of relevant experience. Additional experience may substitute for education.
- A minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in the intelligence community, defense, government services, or professional services with extensive business development experience.
- Proven success in leading and growing NRO service businesses or aligned organizations.
- Experience in capturing opportunities worth over $100 million, crafting effective win strategies, and shaping customer engagement strategies.
- Strong ability to forge and leverage crucial customer relationships with senior-level officials and program stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capability to collaborate across different organizational boundaries.
- Thorough understanding of government contracting, acquisition trends, and customer purchasing behaviors.
- Knowledge of competitors' activities and ability to analyze their market behaviors.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior executives and clients.
- Management of an opportunity pipeline exceeding $4 billion.
- Top Secret clearance with eligibility for NRO clearance.
- Willingness to travel as needed (10% - 20% per month).

Pay Range:
Pay Range $154,050.00 - $278,475.00
