Job Description
Job Title: Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist

Profession: Radiology / Cardiology

Hours per Shift: 10 hours

Experience: 2 years in Cath Lab with at least 1 year in Electrophysiology (EP)

License: Current ARRT credential and state license

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Must-Have: Experience with ablations is required; PALS and pediatric experience preferred but not required

Description:
The Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist performs a variety of technical functions and patient care activities during procedures.
The primary role includes the operation of fluoroscopy in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
Additional responsibilities involve monitoring procedures, scrubbing procedures, managing supplies, and equipment stocking.
Staff may also be cross-trained to assist in EP procedures and support those cases as necessary.
The technologist may be trained to assist in TAVR and TMVR procedures.
Key responsibilities include pulling supplies for each case and setting up scrub tables for ablation and device implant procedures.
Technologists will drape patients and scrub in with physicians for venous and arterial access.
Assisting with transeptal ablations, pulling sheaths, and managing manual pressure or closure devices is also part of the role.
Technologists will run X-ray and prepare patients with nursing staff during procedures.
They will scrub in for generator device changes as needed.
Candidates must possess experience with complex procedures, including complex PCI, Impella, or balloon pump experience.
The role requires the ability to circulate and scrub for EP ablations and device placements.
Weekend call is required, with current needs including one night per week and one full weekend per month.
