Our client is currently seeking a Senior Salesforce Platform Engineer

Job Summary

This Senior Salesforce Platform Engineer should have 7-10 years of experience integrating Salesforce CRM systems into enterprise-grade mobile applications. The candidate must also have strong iOS development experience to support and enhance mobile applications that capture field data and synchronize with Salesforce. Expertise in native iOS technologies, backend integration, and reliable data flow between apps and Salesforce (via REST APIs, Mobile SDK, or middleware) is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Development & Integration (Primary Focus)

  • Collaborate with Salesforce developers and admins to define API requirements, troubleshoot integration issues, optimize performance, and manage security models (SAML/SSO, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules).
  • Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Automate workflows with Flow Builder and Process Builder; maintain data integrity via SOQL/SOSL queries and validation rules.
  • Develop custom Salesforce apps using Apex, LWC, Aura Components; integrate third-party apps.
  • Review code for quality, security, and adherence to governor limits; lead complex projects and provide technical leadership.
  • Connect iOS apps to Salesforce using Mobile SDK, REST/SOAP APIs; implement OAuth 2.0 authentication, offline caching, and error handling.
  • Fetch, update, and synchronize Salesforce records from mobile devices; expertise in API endpoints, data mappings, ETL processes, and middleware (MuleSoft/Dell Boomi).
  • Create/manage custom objects, workflows, approval processes, reports, and dashboards.
  • Perform unit/integration testing; utilize Git/SFDX and CI/CD pipelines for deployments.
  • Mentor junior developers and stay current with Salesforce features (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud).
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
iOS Development & Integration (Secondary Focus)
  • Design, develop, and maintain native iOS apps using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Xcode, and Apple frameworks (Core Data, Combine, Swift Concurrency).
  • Build modular, scalable architectures (MVC, MVVM, VIPER) with strong unit testing and Git version control.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs, handle JSON, ensure robust error handling, offline storage, and performance optimization.
  • Implement advanced UI/UX following Apple Human Interface Guidelines.
  • Work with push notifications, optimize performance, and mentor juniors on iOS best practices.
  • Conduct automated testing, debug errors, and maintain code quality.
  • Collaborate with product management, design, and engineering teams to drive innovative features.
Training and Mentoring
  • Mentor and train internal team members on iOS development best practices and Salesforce integration techniques.
  • Conduct workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions focused on Salesforce-connected iOS applications.
