Our client is looking for a person that wants to obtain accelerated learning and career growth in a dynamic environment. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accounting Manager will help oversee aspects of the organization's accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This role requires a strong leader who can manage a team, streamline processes, and provide strategic financial insights. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in managing financial reporting, accounting operations, and maintaining financial records.

  • Compensation : $135,000 - 165,000 base plus bonus
  • CPA & Big 4/Regional public accounting experience required
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Manage the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory reporting.
  • Oversee daily accounting operations which may include expenditures, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll accounting, and fixed assets.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee process improvements and make recommendations to streamline and automate processes.
  • Provide accounting guidance and support to the accounting team and other departments.
  • Address complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, leases, consolidations, and financial instruments.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support professional growth of team members.
  • Coordinate and lead team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Oversee external audits and coordinate the preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
  • Implement and maintain stat compliance and other regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
  • Advanced analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities with an attention to detail.
  • Sound knowledge of GAAP
  • Capable of working on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification is required.
  • NetSuite experience a plus
  • Big Four or large regional experience strongly preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, including experience with complex accounting issues.
  • Familiarity with Model Audit Rule (MAR) or Sarbanes-Oxley and prior experience ensuring compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Highly organized with ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
