Are you ready to make a difference in the Operating Room? Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist I for our General Specialty team. At Aurora St Luke's Medical Center, we pride ourselves on providing innovative care to patients from across the state, the country, and beyond.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive pay range: $26.10 - $39.15 per hour.
  • Exciting $10,000 sign-on bonus available, with distance-based relocation options.
  • Additional $2,000 sign-on bonus for evening shifts.
  • Full-time hours: 40 hours per week, with varied shifts including on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for optimal patient care.
  • Utilize aseptic techniques in the preparation of materials, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
  • Assist the surgical team by anticipating needs and maintaining a sterile field.
  • Prepare the operating room for various surgical cases and manage equipment effectively.
  • Transport patients and equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain specialty carts and ensure all materials are complete and available.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
  • No previous experience required; we welcome new graduates
  • Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and operating room equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
