Surgical Technologist I

Join Our Dynamic OR Team Advocate Health is looking for a dedicated Surgical Technologist I to enhance our team. Your skills will make a difference in the surgical field, contributing to optimal patient care with innovative practices at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center.
Location: Aurora St Lukes Medical Center - 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215
Schedule: Full-time, evening shifts with on-call requirements including overnight call and occasional weekends.
Compensation: Competitive pay ranging from $26.10 to $39.15, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus available for eligible candidates and an additional $2,000 for PM shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the surgical area, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patient care.
- Perform aseptic techniques and assist with the sterilization of instruments and supplies.
- Set up the operating room for each procedure, managing equipment and supplies efficiently.
- Act as Second Assistant during surgeries as needed.
- Transport patients, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
- Maintain specialty carts, verifying the readiness and functionality of equipment.
- Adhere to safety standards while positioning and transporting patients.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited program in Surgical Technology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
- No prior experience is necessary.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and adapt to a fast-paced environment while following safety guidelines.
