About Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center: Join a respected team at the largest hospital in Wisconsin with a 24/7 on-site heart-care team. Your role as a Surgical Technologist is crucial to providing quality care in the Operating Room.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment for optimal patient care.
• Utilize aseptic techniques in preparation for surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile field.
• Assist with all types of surgical procedures and demonstrate knowledge of various techniques.
• Set up the operating room and ensure the safety and efficiency of all equipment.
• Function as a Second Assistant when needed and manage inventory of supplies.
• Transport patients and equipment as necessary, following safety protocols.
• Adhere to age-specific care principles and demonstrate proper lifting and transferring techniques.

Requirements:

• Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required within 6 months if not previously certified.
• Education: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program is necessary.
• Experience: No prior experience is required.

Skills: You should have knowledge of aseptic techniques, excellent customer service, and basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements: This role requires a high level of physical activity, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
