Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions on the Snowflake cloud data platform. The ideal candidate will lead the implementation of data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL processes, ensuring efficient data storage, processing, and analytics.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
  • Required 7+ years of experience in Snowflake.
  • Deep knowledge of Snowflake's architecture, features, and best practices.
  • Advanced SQL skills for data manipulation, querying, and development.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and processes.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and techniques.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with programming languages like Python or Scala for data transformation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues, including performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
  • Expertise in data security, including encryption and access management.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools for automating deployments.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data validation and querying, with experience in SnowSQL scripts.
  • Deep understanding of Snowflake internals, including stages, integrations, and network policies.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in mentoring junior developers and sharing best practices.
  • Experience in migrating on-premises solutions to the Snowflake cloud platform.
  • Experience in integrating Snowflake with other systems and tools, including third-party applications.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Architecting and building scalable data pipelines using Snowflake's features and modern data stack technologies.
  • Developing and managing ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion and transformation.
  • Designing and implementing data models, including star and snowflake schemas, for data warehouses and data lakes.
  • Monitoring and optimizing Snowflake performance, ensuring data integrity, and implementing quality checks.
  • Implementing security measures, including encryption and access controls, to protect sensitive data.
  • Working with cross-functional teams and driving innovation.
