At UCHealth, we are actively looking for a dedicated Interventional Radiology Technologist who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care. Our facility boasts nine advanced procedure rooms, ready to support a spectrum of interventional radiology procedures, including:

  • Central Venous Catheter Placements
  • Thoracentesis
  • Extremity venograms and arteriograms
  • Thrombectomies
  • Spinal arteriograms
  • Embolization procedures
  • Drain placements
  • Cerebral arteriograms
  • Stroke interventions and neuro embolization
  • Yttrium-90 radioembolization
  • Chemoembolization

This role involves preparing patients for procedures, assisting physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and radiation safety are maintained. We are looking for individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate critical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for procedures, review medical histories, and administer contrast media and/or medications.
  • Assist physicians with imaging and various interventional procedures while resolving any image quality issues.
  • Provide patients with information regarding procedures and support them through their care.
  • Prepare necessary equipment and supplies, select appropriate exposure factors, and uphold radiation safety standards.
  • Exercise independent judgement and work effectively with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED, or a graduate of an accredited health science program (e.g., Radiologic Technologist ARRT (R) program).
  • ARRT certification preferred.
  • Experience: Preferred.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required prior to start date.
