TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Counselor to provide therapeutic services, crisis intervention, and support to individuals experiencing emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges. This role focuses on empowering clients to achieve mental wellness and build resilience through evidence-based counseling practices.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
  • Assist clients in developing coping strategies, problem-solving skills, and stress management techniques.
  • Offer crisis intervention and develop safety plans when necessary.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Educate clients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field required.
  • State licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, LPC, or equivalent) required.
  • Experience providing counseling services in clinical, outpatient, or community settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing.
  • Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage crisis situations effectively and provide compassionate care.
