Job Description:

This position needs someone who will determine routing and arrangements for shipments, considering such factors as nature of items being shipped, method of handling, size, urgency, and cost. Supporting the physical and administrative tasks of receiving, storing, and shipping materials, often using electronic systems like SAP. Security Clearance required for role.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.
  • Receives incoming materials, unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications.
  • Maintains records of received goods, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents.
  • Stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
  • Lifts up to 50 pounds and may operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, tow motors, forklifts, etc. upon receipt of internal certification.
  • Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
  • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
Education: High School
  • High School or Equivalent
Experience: 36 months

  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform other physically demanding tasks.
  • Crucial for accurately picking orders, checking inventory, and performing quality control.
  • The ability to organize and manage time to meet deadlines and keep the workspace tidy.
  • Prioritizing tasks and working efficiently to meet productivity goals.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Working collaboratively with others to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
