Job Position: Shipping/Receiving

Location: TOPEKA, KS 66609

Pay Rate: $17.00/hr

Shift: 1st

Description:

Duties:

-Responsible to make arrangements for pick-up by the carrier, following shipping instructions on the order.

-Responsible for securely boxing product, to guarantee undamaged arrival and superior presentation of product to client.

-Report any defective materials or questionable conditions.

-Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials in inventory in order to meet shipping demands.

-Required to maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

-High School Diploma or GED.

-At least one year related experience working in a material handling position, preferably with specific shipping/distribution experience.

Job Related Skills

-The Shipping Clerk must have math skills and the ability perform basic math calculations.

-Must be very detail oriented and very customer focused.

-Basic computer skills, with special emphasis in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

-Experience working with UPS, FedEX and other carriers.

-Experience with international shipping including Canada.

Physical Requirements

-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Good manual dexterity and the possibility of standing or sitting for long periods.
