Location: Denver, CO

Schedule: Days - Rotating Weekends, 4-10s OR 3-12s , 6:30 AM OR 9:00 AM start time , On-Call Required

Sign-On Bonus - $15K

Relocation Allowance - $5K

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician to provide advanced scrub support for complex and high-acuity surgical procedures. This role requires strong expertise in aseptic technique, instrumentation, and operating room preparation, along with the ability to mentor and support other surgical team members.

This role demonstrates advanced knowledge and technical expertise in assisting during surgical procedures. Highly skilled in aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation, equipment setup, and sterile supply management across a wide range of complex surgical specialties. This position requires advanced competency, including proficiency in multiple high-acuity and specialized surgical services. Serving as a preceptor, mentor, and clinical resource for new staff members, students, and existing team members.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced scrub role duties for surgical procedures
  • Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and sterile supplies
  • Maintain sterile field and anticipate surgeon needs
  • Pull, set up, and break down surgical cases
  • Support multiple surgical specialties, including high-acuity cases
  • Precept and mentor staff and surgical technician students
  • Participate in scheduled on-call rotation, including weekends
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program
  • Current CST certification (NBSTSA) required
  • State Surgical Registry (DORA) required
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year OR experience as a Surgical Technician
  • Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility for on-call shifts
Work Environment
  • Level 4 Trauma Center
  • ICU attached to the OR
  • 18 OR suites including hybrid and advanced navigation rooms
  • Service lines include spine, trauma, transplant, neuro, vascular, orthopedics, plastics, GYN, ENT, and general surgery
