Job Summary:
The Department of Pathology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Surgical Pathologist / Cytopathologist / Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor.
Responsibilities include:
- Surgical pathology and Cytopathology sign-out, frozen section, rapid on-site evaluations, autopsy, mentoring and teaching of medical students and pathology residents and participation in other areas of the laboratories.
- The position includes leadership of the pathology education for second year medical students.
- Interested individuals may be considered for the position of Associate Residency Program Director of Anatomic Pathology.
- Participation in research with presentation of work at national meetings and publication in peer reviewed journals is expected.
- MD or DO Degree.
- Board Certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
- Eligibility for New York State Medical Licensure.
- Fellowship training in cytopathology, oncologic surgical pathology, transplant, renal or gastrointestinal pathology.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday; Variable Hours (Full-Time)
