Job Summary:

The Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a vital role in providing individualized care and support to residents in our long-term care facility. Under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), you will deliver high-quality, resident-centered nursing care while assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and nutrition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver age-appropriate care that respects the physical and psychological needs of each resident according to their care plan.
  • Assist residents with bathing, toileting, dressing, and other personal hygiene tasks.
  • Support medical staff in procedures and document resident interactions and care outcomes.
  • Monitor and report any changes in resident conditions to the charge nurse.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe living environment through housekeeping and laundry services.
  • Encourage participation in wellness and recreational programs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Minimum age of 16 years; prior experience in long-term care is a plus.
  • Must obtain Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification within four months if not already certified, with training provided by the facility.
  • Complete required annual continuing education (minimum of 12 hours).
  • If applicable, must hold current certification as an Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP).
  • Must possess a valid driver's license if designated as a Category II Driver by the facility.
