Fundraising Director

We’re seeking a volunteer Fundraising Director to lead and grow nenos’ revenue strategy. You’ll build out and manage key fundraising streams (including individual giving, sponsorships, corporate partnerships, and grants) while coordinating across the team to ensure compelling, mission-aligned messaging.

This is a leadership-level, remote volunteer position ideal for someone excited to help a startup nonprofit scale its impact.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of nenos’ fundraising strategy (individual giving, corporate sponsorship, foundations, and events)
  • Create fundraising materials, including pitches, proposals, impact briefs, and funder updates
  • Work with the CEO, Marketing Director, and program leads to align messaging and campaigns
  • Help identify sponsorship, revenue generation, and fundraising opportunities in programming work and community engagement
  • Track fundraising metrics, donor data, and revenue projections
  • Collaborate with Board of Directors Fundraising Advisory Committee (in development)
  • Ensure ethical, transparent practices consistent with nonprofit standards

Qualifications

  • Availability to volunteer and communicate in U.S. Eastern time
  • Experience in fundraising, donor relations, business development, or grant writing
  • Excellent writing and pitch-building skills
  • Comfortable cold outreach and relationship-building
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple opportunities
  • Passion for ethical tech, social impact, and community empowerment
  • Familiarity with donor CRMs, grant portals, or sponsorship pipelines is a plus
