Your Role
As a Tax Preparation Specialist at H&R Block, you will receive comprehensive training from our expert team to empower you in your tax career. Enjoy the flexibility and extra income opportunities that allow you to live your life to the fullest.
Engage with clients through interactive tax interviews—both in-person and via virtual platforms like video, phone, and chat.
Prepare precise and comprehensive tax returns.
Drive business growth by enhancing client retention and introducing additional products and services.
Assist clients with IRS inquiries and support.
Collaborate effectively with your team to support office goals.
Enhance your tax knowledge and expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
Prior experience in customer service or retail.
A background working in a dynamic, supportive environment.
Availability to work between 25-35 hours weekly during tax season, with the possibility of up to 40 hours during peak periods.
What You Bring
Successfully complete the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or the Income Tax Course.
Experience in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with virtual tools, including video, phone, and chat.
Strong communication skills in person, over the phone, and in writing.
Meet all IRS and applicable state requirements.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or higher.
