Job Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations for patients throughout the pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations employing standardized assessments complemented by observational techniques.
- Create individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate goals and long-term developmental, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
- Engage in direct speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing support.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, healthcare providers, caregivers, and families to formulate comprehensive care strategies.
- Educate patients and families to ensure progress outside clinical environments.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, guaranteeing a seamless continuum of care.
- Maintain timely and precise documentation that complies with organizational, federal, and state standards.
- Commit to continual learning and improvement through professional development opportunities.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of commencing employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based interventions for a wide age range, with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and collaborative healthcare teams.
- Ability to tailor therapy methods to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
