We have multiple openings, including positions at Belton Regional Medical Center, Centerpoint Medical Center, Lafayette Regional Health Center, Lee's Summit Medical Center, Menorah Medical Center, Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Research Medical Center, and Research Psychiatric Center.
Note: Our Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby, NICU, and Peds units are fully staffed for 2025, but our robust internal career pathway program can facilitate future transfers into these areas

The HCA Nurse Residency Program spans one year, designed to equip you with essential hands-on experience that enhances clinical and critical thinking skills. As a Graduate Nurse Resident, you will immerse yourself in a nurturing environment accompanied by nurse educators, experienced nurses, and peers, fostering learning, clinical application, and professional growth.

Job Summary and Qualifications:
The HCA Nurse Residency Program helps you transition smoothly into the healthcare environment. This paid program features structured learning experiences such as:
- Advanced clinical training in a specialty area.
- Monthly educational sessions.
- Preceptorship training.
- Hands-on simulations for skill evaluation.
- Mentoring from seasoned nurse leaders.
- Participation in an evidence-based practice project.
As an RN Resident, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care aligning with department standards and nursing practice regulations. Collaborating with the healthcare team, you will ensure comprehensive and compassionate care for patients and their families.
Your responsibilities include:
- Assessing patient conditions and documenting changes thoroughly.
- Performing medical procedures as directed.
- Administering medications and monitoring for responses.
- Responding promptly to patient needs and inquiries.
- Educating patients and families about health conditions and care plans.
Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse License or eligibility as a Graduate Nurse in the state.
- No prior nursing experience is necessary.
- Some travel may be required for training.
