The available openings include Inpatient Transplant, Rehabilitation, Oncology, Trauma Unit, Cardiac Care, Medical Surgical, Float Pool, and Critical Care Float Pool. Shift timings may vary based on needs and availability.

Eligible candidates for FT Night Shift roles in Medical Surgical, Telemetry, Cardiac & Progressive Care Units can receive a Sign-On Bonus of up to $20K, which cannot be combined with other bonuses or HCA Loan/Scholarships.

Additionally, those with Research College of Nursing Loan Forgiveness are eligible for a sign-on bonus specific to the Cardiac Care Unit.

We also offer a $5,000 Relocation Bonus for candidates relocating from more than 50 miles away from our facility.

Job Summary and Qualifications:

The HCA Nurse Residency Program offers you the tools you need to thrive in today's healthcare environment. This paid initiative will facilitate your transition out of school with a formalized series of educational experiences including:

• Advanced clinical training in a specialty area.
• Monthly educational sessions.
• Preceptorship training with an experienced facility preceptor.
• Hands-on skills simulation and evaluation.
• Mentoring from seasoned nurse leaders.
• Collaborating on an evidence-based practice project.

Start dates are flexible, occurring every two weeks throughout the year to accommodate graduation schedules, relocations, vacations, and NCLEX preparation.

The RN Resident delivers high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with the specific requirements of the department and the relevant standards of practice. Collaborating with medical providers and other caregivers, you will provide individualized, wholesome, and empathetic care, advocating for patients, their families, and caregivers for an exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments during patient admissions and throughout scheduled shifts, identifying and reporting any significant changes in patient status.
• Perform medical procedures and monitoring functions per provider orders, documenting all care provided in patients' medical records promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic responses, and address any adverse reactions appropriately.
• Provide exemplary care by promptly responding to patient requests while proactively anticipating needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up instructions in clear, understandable terms.

Qualifications:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing completed prior to start date; applications accepted up to 8 months before graduation.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the state, with licensure obtained within 90 days post-graduation per Missouri State guidelines.
• No prior experience necessary.
• Some travel may be required for training.
