Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Assisting in surgical procedures by carefully preparing the operating room
- Upholding sterile fields and following infection control protocols with diligence
- Providing instruments and supplies promptly to surgeons and surgical assistants
- Managing surgical equipment before, during, and after procedures
- Monitoring supplies and ensuring every operation has what it needs to succeed
- Collaborating seamlessly with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff
- Accurately maintaining surgical counts and documentation
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program is required
- A high school diploma or its equivalent is also necessary
- Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential is a must
- BLS certification (or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Understanding of surgical instrumentation and procedures across various specialties
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills in high-pressure situations
- Ability to prioritize swiftly and respond adeptly to the surgical team's needs
- Strong organizational skills and an unwavering eye for cleanliness and detail
- Expertise in aseptic technique and maintenance of a sterile field
