Role Responsibilities - What You Will Do
- Conduct a spectrum of fundamental and specialized clinical laboratory tests-including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more-adhering to established protocols.
- Ensure results are precise through thorough analysis, troubleshooting discrepancies, and performing regular maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
- Facilitate specimen collection and prepare samples for assessment as necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all procedures, assist in training newer staff or students, and contribute to the upholding of lab quality assurance standards.
- Ensure a safe and tidy work environment while complying with relevant regulations and accreditation standards.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.
- Obtain ASCP or AMT Board Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within one year of hiring.
- Maintain current certification status throughout the duration of your employment.
