Join our dedicated healthcare team as an LPN Under the guidance of our attending physician, RN, or practice coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding patient care and assisting in various clinical functions to support all providers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Capture and accurately document patients' vital signs.
  • Record significant components of patients' medical histories.
  • Engage and communicate openly with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Assist in in-office procedures under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct diagnostic CLIA waived testing.
  • Perform venipuncture for laboratory blood draws.
  • Manage prescription call-backs within your scope of practice.
  • Prepare patient charts with critical clinical information.
  • Ensure examination rooms are well-stocked and maintain supply inventory.
  • Comply with Albany Medical Center's regulatory standards.
  • Provide clinical coverage by floating to other sites as required.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. is required.
  • Prior experience in a patient care setting is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to effectively present information and address inquiries from physicians, patients, and family members.
  • Current LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse certification is required upon hire.

Physical Demands:

  • Constantly standing and walking.
  • Rarely seated.
  • Frequently lifting and carrying.
  • Occasionally pushing, pulling, climbing, and balancing.
  • Frequently stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, and grasping.
  • Constantly feeling, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions.
  • Consistently utilizing eye/hand/foot coordination.

Working Conditions:

  • Rare exposure to extreme cold, heat, humidity, wet conditions, temperature changes, and atmospheric conditions.
  • Constantly working in noise and frequently encountering hazards.
  • Rarely exposed to vibrations.
