Technical Accountant

Job Summary:
We are hiring a Technical Accountant to lead technical accounting research, SEC reporting, and compliance with US GAAP. This role involves revenue recognition, lease accounting, impairment analysis, and purchase accounting. You will collaborate with accounting, asset management, and real estate services teams, as well as external auditors.

- Research and document technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition and lease accounting
- Analyze new accounting standards and support SEC filings
- Oversee SOX 404 compliance and collaborate with auditors
- Evaluate and document property transactions and impairment analyses
- Provide technical accounting guidance to senior leadership
- 3+ years of accounting experience (Big 4 or large public company)
- CPA required with strong US GAAP and SEC reporting knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and modeling
- Experience with real estate accounting or asset management
- Knowledge of ERP accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Understanding of lease accounting software and SEC reporting tools
