Accounting Manager Opportunity
A strong Upstate company is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting activity, support financial reporting, and serve as a partner to various operational teams. This role helps maintain strong financial controls, ensures accurate records, and contributes to planning and analysis across multiple business units.
Responsibilities
- Oversee general ledger activity, including journal entries, reconciliations, and the monthly close process.
- Prepare management reports and provide clear explanations of results, trends, and variances.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and development of financial models or repeatable analyses.
- Manage accounting processes related to payables, receivables, accruals, billing, and intercompany activity.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and enhance consistency across departments.
- Collaborate with operational leaders on project tracking, spending oversight, and ongoing financial needs.
- Assist with external audits, tax-related information requests, and other compliance matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively across departments.
- CPA/CMA are pluses
