Salary Range: $63,052 -$74,178

FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Summary

The Senior Plumber will be responsible to install, maintain and repair sanitation units, water and gas supply lines, heating systems and associated equipment in a commercial setting. You will also be required to design and inspect plumbing systems, perform diagnostics, and ensure the comply with state and local codes. To be successful as a plumber you should be able to work independently and solve problems quickly and efficiently. To excel in this position you should have strong technical skills, be a master at troubleshooting and enjoy dealing with people.

Job Duties

  • Reads and interprets blueprints to assess or plan plumbing installations and layouts.
  • Installs, maintains and repairs plumbing systems and fixtures.
  • Cuts, welds and assembles pipes, tubes, fittings and fixtures.
  • Inspects and tests plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance.
  • Handles customer queries and responding to work orders.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves problems.
  • Prepares cost estimates.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.
  • Certification/Licenses/Registration Required: Current Journeyman Plumber License issued by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a plumber Good working knowledge of water supply, heating and ventilation systems.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and using plumbing tools.
  • Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good listening and communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and patience.
  • Physical dexterity and the ability to use a ladder.
