Mortgage Processing Trainer

Lakeview Lending is growing - and we're looking for an experienced Mortgage Processing Trainer to elevate our team's performance. In this role, you'll design and deliver engaging training programs that strengthen the skills, product knowledge, and sales confidence of our loan officers and support staff. You'll coach both new and experienced originators to master the mortgage process, exceed production goals, and deliver an exceptional client experience.

Responsibilities
• Conduct training sessions (in-person) for new hires and existing mortgage processors.
• Ensure job aids are clear, user-friendly, accurate, and aligned with Lakeview Lending's quality standards.
• Teach end-to-end mortgage processing workflow, including disclosures, documentation review, AUS navigation, conditions, compliance requirements, and investor guidelines.
• Develop, update, and maintain job aids, step-by-step guides, reference materials, checklists, and process documents.
• Provide ongoing coaching and skill-building sessions to support employee development and performance improvement.
• Partner with processing leadership and quality control teams to identify training gaps or performance trends.
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts to ensure materials reflect current policies, system updates, and industry regulations.
• Organize training content into structured, accessible formats for quick reference by new and experienced processors.
• Support system implementations or updates by creating new training content and conducting appropriate training sessions.
Qualifications
• 3-5+ years of experience in mortgage loan processing, underwriting support, or mortgage operations.
• Strong understanding of mortgage regulations (TRID, ECOA, RESPA, FHA/VA/USDA, conventional lending).
• Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, or coach others effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to simplify complex processes.
• Experience creating documentation, procedures, or training materials.
