Are you looking for a fulfilling opportunity in the field of behavioral health? This PRN (as needed) position allows you to make a meaningful impact by filling in for shifts when needed, due to vacations or other absences.
Key Highlights:
- This is a PRN position with no guaranteed hours or benefits, offering flexibility in your work schedule.
- Orientation schedule includes full-time hours for four weeks, followed by transition to 12-hour shifts for another four weeks, with some flexibility available.
- Location: 7980 Clayton Road Richmond Heights, MO.
- Variable day or night shifts to accommodate your availability.
Job Summary:
As a Behavioral Health Intake Therapist, you will conduct interviews and assessments for potential admissions, with the opportunity to perform telehealth assessments as well.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide admissions and intake services to patients and potential patients.
- Respond to inquiries regarding mental health care and services.
- Facilitate admissions based on physician orders and coordinate necessary transportation or referrals.
- Document calls and related information, and may staff a crisis hotline as needed.
- Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory policies by reviewing patient paperwork.
- Perform insurance verification and prior authorization as needed.
- Maintain a safe working environment and perform other assigned duties.
Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Behavioral Health or a related field required.
- No prior experience necessary.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/carry and push/pull objects weighing 0-25 lbs frequently.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive movements.
- Use of vision and hearing for communication and identification purposes is required.
Professional License Requirements:
Must possess relevant licensure based on the state of work location (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin).
Work Schedule:
Variable shifts, as necessitated by the PRN nature of the position.
