Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Engineer who is passionate about creating high-performance, low maintenance, and zero-downtime applications and platforms. You will play a vital role in transforming our insurance business as we evolve from a traditional IT structure to one focused on engineering excellence and a culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement.

Your Impact

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and building scalable, resilient distributed systems.
  • Driving product development with your technical expertise.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Leading design sessions and conducting code reviews to elevate engineering quality.
  • Creating and maintaining reusable application components from both business and technology perspectives.
  • Utilizing programming languages such as C#, Python with a focus on .NET framework, SQL, NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and various Azure services.
  • Mentoring fellow engineers and sharing best practices.
  • Continuously improving processes and practices within the team and across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in .NET framework development, including C#, Visual Studio, SQL Server, ASP.NET, MVC, and Web API.
  • Deep understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience in system architecture and design.
  • Solid grasp of DevOps principles, primarily within Azure DevOps.
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting.
  • Knowledgeable in monitoring concepts and tools.
  • Understanding of security protocols and solutions.
  • Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and familiarity with computer science data structures and algorithms.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.

Experience

  • 4+ years in professional software development using the .NET framework (C# and object-oriented design).
  • 3+ years in architecture and system design.
  • 3+ years working with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • 2+ years utilizing open-source frameworks.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related field, or equivalent experience.

Salary Information

The salary ranges from $90,000 to $215,000, determined by factors such as job responsibilities, candidate experience, education, and location.
