POSITION OVERVIEW:

Dobbs Tire and Auto Centers was founded in 1976 as a family-owned complete auto care solution in South St. Louis, Missouri. The Dobbs brand has experienced significant growth, expanding to over 100 locations across Missouri, Illinois, Texas and Ohio with future growth goals to over 200 stores by 2027. Along with offering a full selection of quality tire brands, all locations provide comprehensive automotive services, from routine maintenance to complex diagnostics and engine repairs. The Total Rewards Manager is responsible for leading, designing and implementing compensation, benefit, retirement, rewards and wellness programs for the organization. This position will oversee a rewards team to including payroll, benefits, leave and administration ensuring our rewards strategy is competitive, compliant and aligned with the companies employee engagement and retention goals. The ideal candidate will have proven success leading a total rewards function in a rapidly growing organization, is extremely employee centric with a strong work ethic to contribute to the department goals and achieve results.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides leadership and administration of enterprise-wide payroll, compensation, benefit, time off and leave of absence functions within the human resource department
  • Direct Manager of the total rewards team including development, schedule, work priorities, task management, performance, compensation, etc.
  • Strong ability to build workflows and processes within the HRIS/payroll system to drive automation and efficiency
  • Design and oversee communication and education strategies to help employees, leaders and candidates understand their total rewards value individually
  • Leads the design, annual planning and implementation of the company wide benefit program including medical, dental, vision, ancillary, wellness plans etc.
  • Proactively manages self-insurance plans including reviewing claims activity and utilization trends to drive cost initiatives that are both a benefit to employees and the organization
  • Oversees and administers all 401k plans including employee communication, data integrity upkeep on enrollments, new hires and terminations, vendor relationships, 5500 preparations, etc.
  • Partners closely with the HRBP team on creating competitive market salary grades to drive talent attraction, retention and equitable pay practices
  • Expert understanding and ability to process multi state/city payroll including tax and payroll law requirements
  • Advanced technical acumen of the HRIS/Payroll system (ADP) with the ability to transfer data, run reports build workflows/processes and manage transactions
  • Leads the integration actions of acquired companies to ensure smooth integration of benefits, payroll, time off, leave, compensation practices including project planning, workflow training, adoption, and communication strategies
  • Supports internal and external audits related to compensation, benefits, 401k plans, and/or any other regulatory reporting requirements

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • This position is an office-based position 5 days per week. We are open to hire at either our Division Office located at: 14577 Lorain Ave, Cleveland, OH 44111 or our HQ Office located at: 1983 Brennan Plaza High Ridge, MO 63049.
  • This position operates out of a temperature-controlled office environment- work from work is required
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
  • 10+ years of experience leading a Total Rewards function including payroll, benefits, retirement plans, compensation, leave of absence required
  • Advanced technical skills within HRIS/Payroll Software- ADP experience required
  • Prior experience leading a team strongly preferred
  • CPP certification strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, HR or equivalent experience required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
