Schedule Details: Full-time evening shifts, either 8 or 10 hours, Monday to Friday with on-call requirements.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain a clean and sterile environment in the operating room
  • Utilize aseptic techniques and assist surgeons during procedures
  • Set up and manage equipment for various surgical procedures
  • Function as a Second Assistant as needed
  • Monitor and ensure equipment availability and condition
  • Transport patients safely and assist with their positioning
  • Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific care needs as outlined by departmental standards

Qualifications:

  • Must complete an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months
  • No prior experience required, all training will be provided

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and operating room equipment
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer proficiency

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to perform duties in a fast-paced, stressful environment
  • Capable of lifting and carrying various weights as outlined in the job details
  • Comfortable working with personal protective equipment
