We are seeking a dedicated Roofing Superintendent to lead our operations team as you manage in-house and subcontractor crews efficiently and safely across various install projects in the Southeast.

Key Responsibilities:

Management of Field Crews:

  • Recruit and select candidates to ensure crews are adequately staffed to meet production goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive training on safety and quality standards for all crew members, including Toolbox talks and skills training.
  • Perform ongoing assessments to enhance crew performance and uphold safety protocols.
  • Design and implement career development training programs for crew members and Field Managers.
  • Manage tools and materials required by each crew for efficient operations.
  • Review job scope and budgets with Field Managers before commencing projects.
  • Resolve any issues that arise for crews by acting as a liaison between Field Managers and Project Managers.

Administrative Duties:

  • Oversee weekly timekeeping for crews, ensuring accuracy and reconciling reports.
  • Approve monthly expense reports for field operations.
  • Monitor daily crew progress and adjust allocations as necessary.
  • Complete necessary reports on accidents and incidents.
  • Ensure documentation, such as FM checklists and daily progress reports, is submitted appropriately.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • 5+ years of superintendent experience with leadership in both in-house and subcontractor crews.
  • 10+ years of commercial roofing experience.
  • OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain within two months of hire.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Spanish language skills are preferred.
  • Familiarity with local area codes and regulations is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
  • Experience with Coatings, Single Ply, Hot, and Metal roofing systems is advantageous.
  • Certa trained candidates will be given preference.

Working Environment:

  • Primarily outdoor work required; ability to work in varying weather conditions is necessary.
  • Travel frequency will be about 50-60%, by car or plane.
  • Must be capable of repetitive bending and lifting up to 40 pounds, as well as operating heavy equipment.
  • Repetitive hand movements necessary for data entry tasks.
  • Effective communication skills required for conversing with staff and customers.
