Your Responsibilities
- Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostics, and devising personalized care plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic health issues in collaboration with physicians or independently, depending on your credentials
- Educating patients and their families on wellness, prevention strategies, and chronic disease management
- Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with your practice scope
- Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care supervision
- Working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care
- Accurately documenting within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in Wisconsin
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Solid clinical judgment coupled with a nurturing bedside manner
- Exceptional communication abilities with patients, families, and healthcare personnel
- Ability to thrive in dynamic, patient-focused environments
- Familiarity with EMR systems and comfort using telehealth solutions
