Schedule & Call Requirements:

Full-time evening shift with 8 or 10 hour shifts, Monday to Friday, including overnight call (5-8 slots) and 1 or 2 weekend slots every 8 weeks. Must be able to report within 30 minutes when on call.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for surgical procedures using aseptic techniques to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Assist surgeons by anticipating their needs and maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Arrange operating room equipment and supplies, ensuring all items are in good working condition.
  • Function as a Second Assistant during surgical procedures when necessary.
  • Transport patients and maintain operational efficiency in the surgical area.
  • Exhibit knowledge of various surgical procedures and maintain environmental cleanliness.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 6 months of employment.
  • No prior experience is necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform various physical tasks in a high-stress environment.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and manual dexterity are required.
  • Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards while following safety protocols.
