Essential Job Functions:
The Administrative Assistant for Maintenance Operations will be vital in enhancing our maintenance department's productivity. You will manage the distribution of operational information, compile data from various sources to generate reports and presentations, schedule meetings, and facilitate purchase orders. Acting as a point of contact for the manager, staff, and visitors, your role will be pivotal in our operational support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate and interpret company policies, ensuring the manager is informed of any critical updates.
- Draft confidential communications, edit documents, and maintain accurate records and inventory.
- Assist maintenance staff in completing new hire documentation and health insurance enrollment.
- Organize and maintain updated maintenance files.
- Generate reports and manage repair orders efficiently.
- Request purchase orders and order parts as necessary.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and effective human relations.
Work Environment:
This position is based in our Danbury, CT location, where we foster an open and friendly office atmosphere. The role primarily involves sitting and typing for most of the day.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Essential Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- A high school diploma or GED is required; higher education is a plus.
- Experience in the sanitation industry is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of maintenance for Yellow Iron, tractors, and trailers is advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary Range: USD $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year.
